SELF HEALING

Sickness is the most common way to discharge fate. Most of us seem to accept our illnesses and treating them is becoming more and more expensive. Especially since we seem to be experiencing more severe and intractable problems today more then ever before. How long will it be before people begin to grasp the fact that while we accept all the answers to our illnesses, we do nothing about it! Such is the matter I have been dealing with more than ever in the last 3 years with my clientele. The emotional body lies deep within the psyche and when one cannot deal with issues of fear and change, we get ill.

We can trace modern medicine back to Hippocrates (400 B.C. who followed the God of healing. Priests then healed the sick through rituals, use of magical gemstones, and by chanting. From their point of view, illness was always connected with guilt. The rituals allowed the patient to repent and change his ways. When Hippocrates turned away from this tradition, he also turned away from the concept of "accepting" illnesses.
Medicine has concerned itself only with the treatment of illness and its symptoms and not the cause. We must begin by isolating the problem and treat where it has affected us in our physical body. By not accepting it, we treat it! I do not encourage anyone to turn away from a physician or use a "do-it-yourself kit". Our medicines do provide necessary help. I believe we can benefit by looking at things not on the level of mere cures of symptoms but the healing of the total person as well. To heal, makes whole, and it takes place on a level that is unknown to medical science. If we can understand the state of our being, we will be in harmony with our problems. Only when we can say yes to it can the problem reverse itself and be terminated. Only if a man is sick can he be made whole. Without having an illness there is no healing is there? Without all these things we would not have a closer understanding to life. To struggle against something means we are not in accord with it or reconciled to it. Perhaps we can trace this back to our unconscious fears. Remember, we all experience symptoms as they signal that something is amiss. We need to work with these symptoms so we can heal.

As our understanding grows more and more sensitive to all our changing conditions, it needs to understand our bodies physical, mental. emotional condition and needs. Often both a medical doctor and a qualified healer and/or holistic practitioner can be beneficial and work in sync with each other. Call it prana, god, life force or good energy as a healer works with an invisible force that some people can feel. The healer is merely the interceptor of these energies and the channel through which they flow. Even psychic energy can be transferred or induced thousands of miles away. Such is the power of thought and energy placement. You can send a flooded area of white light anywhere you wish it to go and with seriousness and intent for goodwill it can appear anywhere you wish it to be. Some healers say that disease is self-generated and self-inflicted due to anger and pent up emotions. Vanquishing inner poisons maybe released by one word____forgiveness!!

I love saying this Unity prayer:
THE LIGHT OF GOD SURROUNDS US.
THE LOVE OF GOD ENFOLDS US
THE POWER OF GOD PROTECTS US
THE PRESENCE OF GOD WATCHES OVER US
WHEREVER WE ARE, GOD IS
SO BE IT AMEN
