"When patterns are broken, new worlds emerge."
~Tuli Kupferberg
I love how clear the message is, and yet the quote doesn't quite tell the whole story because breaking old patterns can be painful, even downright scary. Patterns are predictable and they can make you feel secure. They just provide structure. Familiar patterns give you the idea that you know what your doing, that you can be confident in moving from point A to point B and that the outcome will be just what you expected. A tried and true pattern can apply to the way you think or how you approach problem solving, the way you make a living, your interactions with friends and family, the things you do throughout a day, a year, a lifetime. You can definitely see when a pattern isn't working anymore because the outcome begins to shift. "What the heck?" you may wonder. "This is the way I've always done it...Why isn't it working anymore?" Those feelings of being secure start to get a little shaky, and you notice that your comfort zone is shrinking. It isn't until you get a glimpse of a new world emerging, that the pain of the shift is slowly replaced by anticipation and excitement. Letting go becomes a little easier as you move into a new state of mind, of being, of doing, and of living.
So, it seems to me that almost everyone is becoming more aware that there aren't too many fully operational comfort zones on the planet at this time. We are in a state of major change in which many of our tried and true patterns are, one by one, ending up on the chopping block. You can see it in the banking scandals, which aren't over yet. The educational, political, and environmental structures are sitting in quicksand too. Maybe you had a 20-year career on Wednesday, and, by Thursday morning you are unemployed. Maybe your best friend in the world suddenly isn't anymore. You can look at this picture and say, well, stuff happens and so what? .. My answer is, look again, look within, because this is different, this is bigger, it's everywhere and it affects everyone. Big patterns and small ones are being broken. Get it??
The decline and fall of the American Empire has been upon us for decades. The lessons to be learned from the seven deadly sins; greed, avarice, hate, pride, sloth, etal. Collectively, people internally have to want to do something to change the past.

I think I've repeated the thought so many times, that it's becoming somewhat of a mantra: If you truly want peace in your life and the outside world, then you need to consciously separate from whatever isn't working anymore. I can "see" through a lot of the emotion, and confusion that comes from holding on, and while it isn't pretty or comforting, there is always hope. I can "see".. that some of your blocked paths will start to open in the next five months. That doesn't mean that all is well and you can go back to business as usual. The openings I perceive represent potential, which means that if you have a passion for something and want to manifest it, begin to focus your plans and seek forward movement. At the same time you have to be flexible and open to revising and editing the plan as you go along.
I keep having the feeling that "spontaneity" is one of the keys and, to me, that is always tied to your intuition. Be open to those signals and messages as well. The idea is to move within the framework of purpose and also allow "inner you" guidance to do it's job.

If cleaning up the environment is your mission, don't be concerned or overwhelmed with being unable to change the world. Don't worry about joining that parade. Go out and clean up your own yard, and plant a garden or a tree that will contribute something positive to the good health of the earth and her inhabitants. The objective is to START WHERE YOU STAND and let it spread out from there. You get the idea.
Horrible things are happening in the world because the world doesn't want to let go of the past and the old patterns. It is oh, sooo repetitious. Change is healthy, and like it or not, we are all in it currently. Learn to trust your abilities and those of the people around you. Until well into the fall of 2013, there are waves of harmonious energies you can grab onto and use. One of them may even give you a glimpse of the new world that's ahead.
